Durham, NC -- This semester’s Deans’ Dialogues series begins with a conversation between Chapel Dean Sam Wells and new Fuqua School of Business Dean Blair Sheppard on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Fuqua’s Geneen Auditorium. Wells and Sheppard will discuss “What would you do with $100 million?”
The 5:15 p.m. event is free and the public is invited to attend.
In these dialogues, Wells discusses with various deans from schools within Duke larger issues of common good that affect people everywhere. Audience members have a chance to ask general questions at each event.
“So often the folks in the top jobs in our university go from dealing with one crisis to another, raising funds, speaking with faculty and students and going to more meetings than any one human being should attend,” said series organizer Gaston Warner, director of University and Community Relations for Duke Chapel. “With schedules like these, there is little time to discuss the profound questions of common interest to us all. The Deans’ Dialogues create 60 minutes of space for just such questions to be asked.”
